BlackBerry’s Mission 10

“A fun and engaging sales-game to introduce BlackBerry10”

To introduce their new OS and flagship device BlackBerry wanted a sales-driven trainings game that would highlight key features of the OS, and underline the desirability of the device. Inspired by the OS and its most relevant features,  we developed Mission 10: an epic adventure where the player stepped into the role of a secret agent.

Agent 10, while on a mission to deliver the highly anticipated BlackBerry10 prototype, has been kidnapped by Chirean spies, looking to analyse the prototype.

“The game’s appeal accomplished high participation,
and users were eager to complete exams and battles in the game metaphor.”

Every week agent 10 sent out a video-message hinting at her location to all players.
Being kidnapped and all, she did this covertly, using key-features of the phone  specific to the perilous situation in which she found herself.

Players had to complete exams to learn all the ins and outs of the new BlackBerry10, battle against other secret agents and complete a real -life scavenger hunt in Amsterdam to free Agent 10 from her kidnappers.

Winners of the game got to escort the pretty agent 10 to the BlackBerry HQ in Canada.
